The other day my wife asked me to see if I could find a wire hanger so she could fish out some kind of blockage from the vacuum. I was immediately reminded of the last time I saw a wire hanger and it was when we last locked the keys in our car and couldn’t find the other set of keys. Then I started thinking of all the times I’ve used a wire hanger in the past and how it is almost as useful as the butter knife. :D
I’ve used a wire hanger to fish cat 5 cable from an unfinished basement to an existing phone jack, have unlocked dozens of vehicles (the trick is to wedge the door open just enough to get the wire in there and pull the handle or lock), unclogging a sink, fixing a vacuum and I even remember using one to get a better reception as a kid with an old TV. The applications are endless.
